Google is the second leading website viewed per year behind Facebook. This new media makes it possible for people all around the world to make searches about almost anything the mind can think of. Google has the power to views maps, make directions, view emails and more. Before Google was around we would of had to use many different sorts of older medias. Medias such as a map to get directions, a dictionary to look up a term, or write a letter with stationary paper to send a message.
Google was started roughly ten years ago and was an instant boom and since then has become an even bigger boom. For example, in the past month Google announced its new application that can compete with Facebook. Even better though, Google Plus(as it is called) will incorporate skype chatting as well, another new media device. These older medias made it possible for Google to be as powerful as it is.
Furthermore, Google is a very useful mass to mass media device because of the group chatting it is capable of doing. In class yesterday we talked about how mass to mass was not possible before the internet.
