Despite the title, this is a class blog for Introduction to New Media/Participatory Media held during the Summer of 2011 at Fordham University, Rose Hill Campus, in the Bronx. But we all agree that pizza with olives is quite tasty indeed!

Wikipedia
Wikipedia is just one of the many forms of new media. In class we talked about the type of interactions that new media has, and Wikipedia is a many-to-many interaction. The information shared through this website can be looked at and altered by a community of people and they can edit information that was already placed on the web. Wikipedia is also unique because it allows you to access video and web-links. Since the information on Wikipedia can be altered some people say that it is an unreliable source but that is why Wikipedia has the many related links to websites that have the same information.
